The D.P. Stowe, a Penobscot-14
A partially completed Penobscot-14 was donated to HCS&R by the Estate of David Stowe 2012. We completed the boat and named her the D.P, Stowe in honor of her original builder. She can be rigged as a rowing boat or with Gunter rigging as a gaff-rigged sloop. The finished Stowe is a wonderful rowing boat and a favorite of our rowers. During the summer season, she is moored at the East Tawas State Dock and setup for rowing.

In addition, we completed a Penobscot-14 for the Friends of NOAA Museum in Alpena to raffle in support of their activities. The boat had been built by the Friends boat building group, but not finished. We completed her and she is shown below on display in the Museum.
